Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 20, 2026
Your privacy matters to me. This page explains what information HerWellLife (herwelllife.com) collects, how I use it, and the choices you have. I’m James, and I run this blog, so when I say “I” or “me,” that’s who I mean. The blog is an editorial blog written under the pen name James Madison.
What Information I Collect
Information You Give Me
- Comments: If you leave a comment, I receive the name, email address and website you type in, and your comment itself.
- Emails you send me: If you write to me, I receive your email address, your name if it shows, and whatever you tell me.
- Newsletter sign-ups: I don’t run a newsletter right now. If I start one, I’ll collect your email address when you sign up. I’ll update this page before I do.
Information Collected Automatically
- Your IP address
- Your device type, browser and operating system
- The pages you visit, how long you stay, and the website that sent you here
- Cookies and similar technologies (more below)
How I Use Your Information
I use it to:
- show, run and improve the blog
- reply to your comments and emails
- understand which posts are helpful
- keep the blog secure and block spam
- show advertising, if ads are active
- follow the law
I don’t sell your name or email address to anyone.
Cookies and How to Control Them
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. They help a site remember things, count visits and show ads.
I use cookies for basic site functions, for analytics, and, if ads are running, for advertising. You can control cookies in your browser settings. You can block them, delete them or get a warning before they’re saved. If you block all cookies, some parts of the blog may not work well.
Analytics
I may use Google Analytics to understand how people use the blog, such as which posts are most read and which countries visitors come from. It collects information like your IP address, device and pages viewed. Google processes that data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
I may show ads on this blog, which are served by third-party advertising companies. These companies may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. This is sometimes called interest-based advertising.
[PASTE AD NETWORK SNIPPET HERE]
You can opt out of interest-based ads at:
- optout.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance)
- optout.networkadvertising.org (Network Advertising Initiative)
- adssettings.google.com (Google’s ad settings)
Opting out doesn’t remove ads. It means the ads you see may be less relevant to you.
Newsletter
I don’t currently use a newsletter service. If I add one, I’ll use a third-party email service to store your email address and send messages. I’ll name that service on this page, and you’ll be able to unsubscribe at any time from any email I send.
Payments and My Digital Products
I sell digital products, such as ebooks, planners and guides, on Etsy, Gumroad and Payhip. When you buy, you check out on that platform. The platform handles your payment, and I never see or store your card details.
The platform may share order information with me, such as your name, email address and what you bought. I use that only to deliver and support your purchase. Each platform’s own privacy policy explains how it handles your data.
Children Under 13
This blog is for adults. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent me information, please email me and I’ll delete it.
Your Rights
If You Live in California (CCPA/CPRA)
You can ask me to tell you what personal information I’ve collected about you, to delete it, or to correct it. You can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your information. Some ad and analytics tools may count as “sharing” under California law. You can opt out using the links in the Advertising section above. I won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
If You Live in the EU or UK (GDPR)
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask me to correct or delete it, ask me to limit how I use it, object to my using it, or ask for it in a portable format. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
How to Ask for Data Deletion or Use Any Right
Email me at newsmartshopping77@gmail.com with “Data request” in the subject line. I may need to confirm it’s really you. I’ll reply as soon as I can, and within the time the law requires.
How Long I Keep Your Information
I keep comments until I remove them. I keep emails for as long as I need them to help you or follow the law. Analytics data is kept according to my analytics settings. When I no longer need information, I delete it.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or internet connection is completely secure, so I can’t promise perfect protection.
Links to Other Websites
This blog links to other sites, including shops, affiliate partners and advertisers. I don’t control them, and their privacy practices are their own. Please read their policies before sharing information with them.
International Visitors
I’m based in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws can differ from those where you live.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I’ll change the “Last Updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, I’ll make that clear on the blog.
