Terms of Use

Last Updated: October 20, 2026

Welcome to HerWellLife (herwelllife.com). These Terms of Use explain the rules for using this blog and for using my digital products. I’m James, and I run the blog, so “I” and “me” mean me. HerWellLife is an editorial blog written under the pen name James Madison.

Agreeing to These Terms

By using this blog, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the blog. You also agree to my Disclaimer and Privacy Policy, which are part of these terms.

Personal, Non-Commercial Use

You’re welcome to read, print and share links to my posts for your own personal use. You can’t use the blog or its content for business purposes, such as selling it, building a competing product from it, or using it to promote something else, unless I’ve said yes in writing.

My Content Belongs to the Blog

The text, recipes, photos, graphics, layouts, logos and everything else on this blog belong to HerWellLife, unless I say otherwise. They’re protected by copyright.

Please don’t copy, republish, translate, scrape or post my content somewhere else without my written permission. A short quote with a clear link back to the original post is fine. If you’d like to share more, just ask.

My Digital Products: Your License

When you buy one of my digital products (ebooks, planners, guides and similar downloads), you get a license to use it. Here’s what that means.

You May

  • use it for yourself and your own household
  • print copies for your personal use
  • keep it on your own devices

You May Not

  • resell, rent or give it away, with or without changes
  • share the file with friends, family outside your household, groups or classes
  • upload it to any website, file-sharing service, app or marketplace
  • claim it as your own work, or remove my name or copyright notice
  • use it, or parts of it, in a product you sell or give away

The license covers personal use only. If you’d like a different arrangement, such as using it in a group, please email me first. Breaking the license can end it, and I may take action, including asking a platform to remove copied files.

Purchases and Refunds

I sell my products on third-party platforms, including Etsy, Gumroad and Payhip. Your purchase happens on that platform, and the platform’s own terms apply to the sale. I never see your card details.

Because digital products can’t be returned, digital sales are final. That said, I’ll always fix a real problem with a file. If your download won’t open, is missing pages, or isn’t what the listing described, email me and I’ll make it right. I also follow the refund and dispute rules of the platform where you bought it, and those rules may give you extra rights.

Comments

I welcome thoughtful comments. By posting one, you agree that it’s your own, and that it won’t:

  • be spam, or an ad for something else
  • include abuse, harassment, hate or threats
  • share someone else’s private information
  • break the law or someone’s rights

I read comments before they appear, and I can edit, hide or delete any comment, for any reason, without notice. Please don’t share personal health details in a comment, since anyone can read it.

No Professional Advice

Nothing on this blog is medical, nutrition, fitness, legal or mental health advice. Please read my Disclaimer. You’re responsible for your own choices, so check with a qualified professional about your own situation.

Links to Other Websites

This blog links to other sites, including shops and affiliate partners. I don’t control them and I’m not responsible for them. Using them is at your own risk, and their own terms apply.

Limitation of Liability

I work hard to keep this blog useful and accurate, but I can’t promise that it’s always correct, complete or error-free. I provide the blog and my products “as is.”

To the fullest extent the law allows, I’m not responsible for any loss, injury or damage that comes from using the blog, its recipes, its ideas or its products, or from relying on them. That includes allergic reactions, food-safety issues, injuries and lost time or money. If the law doesn’t allow me to exclude something, it applies only to the smallest extent the law permits. In any case, my total responsibility to you won’t be more than the amount you paid me, if anything, for the product at issue.

Changes to These Terms

I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I’ll change the “Last Updated” date at the top. If you keep using the blog after a change, that means you accept the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where I live, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a disagreement can’t be settled by talking it through, it will be handled in the courts of that state.
